Hillbilly Breakfast Business Challenge
Hospice of Southern West Virginia challenges all businesses to reach into their hearts and do something nice for their employees and/or clients AND help Hospice in return! Take your employees and/or clients out for our Hillbilly Breakfast at the Appalachian Arts and Crafts Fair, or use our take-out service. It’s a win-win situation! Breakfast includes heaping helpings of sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs & bacon and, of course, hospitality like only our Hospice volunteers and staff can provide!
Breakfast hours: Friday 7 am – 10 am. Saturday 8 am - 10 am and Sunday 9 am - 11 am. Breakfast will be served at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
Purchase tickets now for $10.00 by calling Hospice of Southern WV at (304) 255-6404. Tickets may also be purchased at the Beckley Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce.
All donations are tax deductable and proceeds will help Hospice continue our ‘special kind of caring’ to the terminally ill in southern WV.
Appalachian Treasurers Quilt Show “Bed-Turning” Event
Saturday, Aug. 28, the show will be offering its second bed-turning. At 2:00 pm, antique quilts, layered on a bed, will be turned down individually as a narrator provides the story behind each particular quilt. The event is being held as part of the Appalachian Arts and Crafts Fair at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
