FAQ
About the Appalachian Festival

The Appalachian Festival is a compilation of multiple events held throughout Raleigh County over three days in late August each year. In its 21st year, the Festival continues to expand to showcase several events and attractions simultaneously giving visitors the opportunity to “See it All” in one stop. In the beginning, the original mission of the Appalachian Festival was to add to the annual Appalachian Arts & Crafts Fair, now in its 53rd year, by partnering with other businesses and organizations in the area.  That mission has continued through the years by adding new events and activities focused on life in Appalachia.  We welcome you to join us for all of the events of the 2017 Appalachian Festival
